Originally, a sample of Sir Mix-A-Lot’s voice from “Posse on Broadway” (”Clockin’ lots of dollars, we all got gold”) was being used for the Xcel-produced track, but after Mix-A-Lot heard the track, he loved it so much he decided to re-record his vocals and be a part of the video.
