A.P.C. x Supreme

In a collaboration mentioned some time ago, the A.P.C. x Supreme collection will hit stores early next month. Within the capsule are two differnet pieces, a pair of denim and a graphic t-shirt. The denim takes cues from A.P.C.’s iconic New Standard with additional back-pocket emroidery and a pin. The t-shirt comes in two variations, a red one for Supreme stores and a black one for A.P.C. stores. The collection goes on sale in the US both online and in-store on October 1st, 2009 while Japan will release two days later on October 3rd.

In 1987, Tunis native Jean Touitou created the French fashion label A.P.C. (Atelier de Production et de Creation). Over the years A.P.C. has distinguished itself as a prestigious clothier of fine apparel based on classic items and silhouettes. A.P.C. is headquartered in Paris with primary stores sprinkled across various parts of the world including France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Tokyo and the US.

For fall 2009 A.P.C. and Supreme will present a two piece capsule of a denim jean and graphic t-shirt. The jean, a specially designed version of A.P.C.’s classic New Standard style, will feature a back pocket embroidery and a removable pin. The tee will come in two colors; red (available exclusively at Supreme stores) and black (available exclusively at A.P.C. Stores).

Available in-store and online on October 1st. Available in Japan on October 3rd.

Pininfarina x Coca Cola

Coke and Ferraris have nothing in common, other than that they both come in red, but it turns out Coca-Cola's forthcoming "Freestyle" machine has been designed by none other than Italy's Pininfarina.

The so-called "iPod of drink machines," which serves up over 100 different beverages ordered via touchscreen, has been in development for four years and is reportedly being test-marketed in a handful of restaurants before launching next year.

Francois IV, Duc De La Rouchefoucauld, Le Prince De Marcillac

I saw this very interesting post on my homie Bobby Hundreds' blog. Francois IV is famous for his one-liners, which it seems like everyone is trying to be now with the help of the most annoying thing in recent history...TWITTER (I don't have a twitter, I HATE twitter). Check out Bobby's summation and some of his favorite Maximes (one-liners) from Francois IV below...

François VI, duc de La Rochefoucauld, le Prince de Marcilla was a prolific writer. La Rochefoucauld was a 17th Century French author, he was a buncha other things also… but he’s mostly known for his proverbial statements, his maxims. By today’s standards, I guess we’d refer to them as 1-liners, except they were profound and vastly insightful on life and the human condition. Kinda like Twitter, except what he said really mattered and resonates centuries later.

I still don’t really understand Twitter. I will be honest, it’s rather ridiculous. I even tried retiring for bit, but then realized that in my line of work I kinda have to do things like that. Annoying. I hate Tweeting product updates or anything related to The Hundreds, I feel like a smarmy salesman. I hate sharing my personal life online, I’m barely interested in whatever I’m doing at the moment, so I’d be surprised if anyone else cared about it. So if you’re 1 of my 10,000 Followers, I’m sure you’ve gotten used to my bad jokes and occasionally, the poor attempt to be La Rochefoucauldian. I apologize.

Here’re some of La Rochefoucauld’s greatest hits (in my opinion):

“True love is like a ghost: everyone speaks of it, but few have seen it. ”

“Passion often renders the most clever man a fool, and even sometimes renders the most foolish man clever.”

“We should often be ashamed of our very best actions if the world only saw the motives that caused them. ”

“Quarrels would not last long if the fault was only on one side.”

“We promise according to our hopes; we fulfill according to our fears”

“The power that the women we love have over us is greater than that which we have over ourselves.”

“Most people judge men only by success or by fortune.”

“The head cannot play the part of the heart for long.”

“True love can not be found where it does not truly exist, nor can it be hidden where it truly does.”

La Rochefoucauld had many great literary works, but MAXIMES is his most recognized. You can buy it off Amazon HERE.

Spike Jonze x Vice Magazine

Vice founder Shane Smith went to London this summer to visit Spike as he completed effects work on WTWTA there. Shane was en route to Africa to film for VBS.TV, and he was reeling from the gargantuan doses of malaria medication he’d been taking. Before he met up with Spike, he attended a private viewing of Where the Wild Things Are. Then he rushed straight into Spike’s arms and, overcome with emotion, sobbed awhile. And then the two of them sat in Shane’s hotel room and talked all about Spike’s new movie, life, and love. Click here to read the full interview.

Keith Haring x Kanye West x Ibn Jasper

This Keith Haring piece was the inspiration for Kanye's new "hair art". He's been wanting a Keith Haring inspired piece in his head for about a year now, and we've finally found the right time and piece to recreate. I like the tribal vibe that the design gives off. This is a haircut for WARRIORS...
